The process of building a website can be complicated by no organization in the process. Lots of businesses have no idea what they are getting into when they hire a website designer to create them a website. I personally have been working on this process for a very long time. About 8 years to be exact. Here are some things to every business should be doing if they are looking to get a website design or website redesign.
- look up at least 5 websites you really like and reasons why, it doesn’t have to be in your field but your field may give you ideas on functionality
- outline your goals for the website
- make a Mind map of all the pages you have or will have
- gather all marketing materials, photo, and anything else you may want incorporated into your website
- do a Rough draft write up of your website page by page - doing this before the project starts will save you time and money
Weather its a website design or redesign these are the primary materials needed to produce a great website.
